Webinar: Responding to gambling-related harm in DFV practice

With expert presenters and a facilitated Q&A, you will be joining colleagues from across the DFSV specialist workforce as we delve into complex intersections and build new knowledge and skills.

THE UNTANGLE PROJECT is a national initiative providing a safe non-judgemental space for women affected by gambling harm or supporting someone who is. Anna Martin is a lived experience advocate and Adelaide local who founded the Untangle Project. A lawyer by trade and change-maker by passion, Anna challenges cookie cutter approaches to recovery and explores what works for women impacted by gambling harm. Lisa Clarke is the Advocacy and Wellness Officer at Untangle and a passionate advocate and survivor in all parts of her life. Lisa brings warmth, insight and a strong focus on practical, trauma-informed support for women affected by gambling harm and family violence.

RELATIONSHIPS AUSTRALIA SA will explore how gambling intersects with the ways in which domestic and family violence is utilised and experienced. From their work on a national research and practice project about DFV and gambling, RASA will provide guidance on key considerations for DFV practitioners supporting victim-survivors as well as those working with people using violence, when gambling is a factor.
