How we drive change
As the peak body for specialist domestic, family and sexual violence (DFSV) services in SA, Embolden independently represents and supports specialist DFSV services statewide.
A key focus of our advocacy is the ongoing development of a strong and sustainable specialist DFSV sector and workforce for our state.
Embolden is in a unique position to advise and advocate to government on legislation, policy and service responses that are informed by people with lived and living experience of domestic, family and sexual violence, and by skilled specialist practitioners.
Embolden regularly advocates publicly – in the media and at community events – to drive improved community understanding of, and attitudes to, domestic, family and sexual violence, and to comment on specific issues.
Embolden represents the South Australian DFSV sector in a range of national contexts and collaborates with other states and territories to advocate at the national level.
