Embolden is the alliance for women’s freedom, equity and respect, and is South Australia’s peak body for domestic, family and sexual violence services across the state.
We welcome specialist women’s service providers, allied organisations, individual advocates, and other parties who share Embolden’s vision and values to join our collective voice as we continue to call for an end to gendered violence across the state, the nation and around the world.
If you, your organisation or business are interested in supporting Embolden, we have three different membership offerings depending on your circumstances. These are:
Community-based specialist women’s safety service providers.
Our Sector members are community-based specialist women’s safety service providers whose principal role is to directly respond to gender-based violence and who endorse Embolden’s objects, purpose and values.
Sector Members are eligible for office bearer positions on the Embolden Board and Action Parties, access to Board and General Meeting minutes, discounted training and event costs, access to our online Member Zone, invitations to special events, e-Newsletters and publications. Sector members may attend, speak at and vote at General Meetings.
Public and community sector organisations that work in the women’s and social justice sector.
Associate Membership is available to public and community sector organisations that work in the women’s and social justice sector, and that endorse Embolden’s objects, purpose and values. Associate Members are:
Associate Members are eligible for advisory positions on the Embolden Board, positions on Action Parties, access to General Meeting minutes, discounted training and event costs, online Member Zone access, invitations to special events, e-Newsletters and publications. Associate members may attend and speak at General Meetings, however do not have voting rights.
Businesses, philanthropic entities and individuals with an interest in preventing and/or responding to gender-based violence.
Our new Supporter Membership provides an opportunity for businesses, philanthropic entities and individuals to positively support tangible actions and understanding of gender-based violence and support actions to reduce violence against women and gender-diverse individuals. Supporter Members are:
Supporter members of Embolden are eligible for advisory positions on the Embolden Board, positions on Action Parties, discounted training, events and publications, limited Member Zone access on website, and e-newsletters. Supporter members may attend and be invited to speak at General Meetings. Supporter members do not have voting rights.
