Recognise and Respond to Disclosures of Rape and Sexual Assault Training

Yarrow Place is hosting training designed to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to provide a trauma informed response to people 16 years and over who have experienced rape or sexual assault. The training is for workers in all areas of human services and health care settings.

Participants will:

· Gain relevant knowledge and skills to respond to disclosures of rape and sexual assault for people aged 16 years and over

· Understand the complexity in which rape and sexual assault occurs, with a focus on systems based, cultural and societal contexts

· Develop best practice assessment and intervention skills to support clients and define appropriate referral pathways following disclosures of rape / sexual assault

· Increase skill base and knowledge in assessment of client needs utilising frameworks that promote client safety, wellbeing and ethical practice

Training Dates:

· Thursday 12th May 2022 at 9:30am-4:30pm

· Wednesday 10th August 2022 at 9:30am-4:30pm

· Wednesday 26th October 2022 at 9:30am-4:30pm
