Keeping Families Safe: Working with Women Who Stay
Do you work with women and families in a community, frontline or educational setting where you are responding to women impacted by Family/ Domestic Violence (FDV)? Have you ever found yourself talking with a family, or witnessing something and thinking it might be FDV?
Workers in libraries, community centres, children centres, frontline and clinical workers will often be some of the first to have a FDV disclosure from a child and can be crucial in how the family accesses supports.
This forum is for workers who want to upskill their FDV responses. Specifically we will be unpacking ‘Why doesn’t she just leave’ and the complexities that women face when experiencing FDV.
