KWY National Summit 29-31 March 2023

2931 March 2023

Pullman Hotel
16 Hindmarsh Square
Adelaide, South Australia

The National Aboriginal Child Safety and Domestic Violence Summit 2023: Strong Families, Safer Children will bring together guest speakers to stimulate new and innovative pathways to address the national issue of child safety, domestic and Aboriginal family violence across Australia.

This is an Aboriginal focused summit hosted by Embolden sector member KWY Aboriginal Corporation, an Aboriginal community controlled organisation. Bringing forward the voices of Aboriginal families and communities is crucial to policy writers, decision makers and leaders to increase the safety of Aboriginal women and children.

Across three days, delegates will hear from guest speakers and take part in workshops, and breakout sessions, offering new ideas for trauma-informed culturally responsive practices. This will include networking opportunities with practitioners and leaders across the sectors, creating a place for change.

The summit will conclude with the Flame of Change Unifying Support (FOCUS) Awards and Gala Dinner at 6:30pm at the Pullman Hotel. The night will showcase the work of individuals and organisations that work in domestic and family violence, child protection, homelessness and disability sectors.
