Western Integrated Family Violence Committee (VIC) – Communities of Practice Summary
Throughout May and June 2020, the WIFVC held a series of Communities of Practice (CoP) to support service continuity for family violence responses during the COVID-19 pandemic.
These sessions were held via Zoom with practitioners and leaders across workforces in the western metropolitan region of Melbourne. The CoPs provided a platform to:
• Foster a shared understanding of local service practice changes that impact responses to family violence
• Identify emerging themes in relation to service responses and workforce needs
• Identify emerging challenges and share innovative strategies that are working well
• Identify and strengthen enablers to collaborative practice across the system.
